What’s included in our CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling- BACP Approved Practitioner Qualification?
Your lessons are designed so they are interactive with group discussions, skills practice, and case studies. Our Level 4, prepares you for everything you need to either start up your own Private Practice or to apply for your dream role. We will teach you to incorporate other modalities into your practice, such as Sand Tray Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy. We explore the body's responses to trauma, anxiety, and depression, including the neuroscience of Anger.

Our course is pending approval by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, (CPCAB) and recognised by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. (BACP). As part of this, we include the 7 mandatory units:

- Working within a counselling relationship (T/600/9355)
- Working with client diversity in counselling work (J/600/9358)
- Working within a user-centred approach to counselling (F/600/9472)
- Working with self-awareness in the counselling process (H/600/9478)
- Working within a coherent framework of counselling theory and skills (K/600/9482)
- Working self-reflectively as a counsellor (F/600/9486)
Awarding Body
The Counselling And Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB) is a specialised awarding body managed by professional practitioners, supervisors, trainers etc. It is the UK’s biggest provider of counselling qualifications in which there are 130 recognised training centres in the UK with 10,000 candidates registered annually.
Ethical Framework
The BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in the Counselling Professions (2018) is central to the philosophy, approach and operation of the programme and all programme training staff agree to work within it. The Ethical Framework can be downloaded from www.bacp.co.uk.
Course Requirements
Each month, you will need to attend 2 Face-to-Face classes, depending on location, this will be a Saturday, 9am - 5pm (Sleaford) or Wednesday, 9am - 5pm (Kings Lynn) and 2 online Zoom evening classes, held on a Wednesday evening, 6pm - 9pm. For 2 years. In Year 2 you will also need to find a placement and carry out 100 Counselling hours, with ongoing Supervision. We also ask that you have ongoing Personal Counselling, for personal support. Throughout the course, you will need to complete written reflective journals, assignments, worksheets and small skills practice.
Entry Requirements
19 years or over,
Completed the following courses:
- CPCAB Level 2 Counselling Skills, (CSK-L2) or Equivalent.
- CPCAB Level 3 Counselling Studies, (CST-L3)
