Counselling and Psychotherapy is for people like me and you, for anyone who feels they are or have struggled, who might not feel themselves and can’t work out why. You might be feeling unconfident or suffering from work-related stress, having marriage issues or had a relationship end and can’t seem to move on, whatever the issue, Counselling can help.

We aim to provide a counselling service that suits most people, thanks to our amazing volunteers we can offer low-cost counselling at £20 a session, however, we also provide a personal package that suits your needs. All our counsellors are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, working within their Ethical Framework to ensure good practice throughout their work.

How does it work?

How can we offer low-cost therapy?

On a journey towards qualifying as a counsellor, the final stage is gaining 100+ hours of counselling hours. Therefore we work with trainee counsellors, completing the final part of their qualification and matching them with people who are seeking therapy, that’s how we can offer low-cost counselling to you.

How do I know if I get the counsellor for me?

Before you commence therapy, a qualified counsellor, will carry out an assessment with you. This is so we can ensure we match you with the right counsellor to best suit your needs.

Is it safe?

Our counsellors have been signed off fit to practice by their university and have ongoing 1 to 1 supervision, to ensure they are working ethically and always putting you, the client first.

How much is it?

£20 per session, this is to cover costs, including counsellors paperwork, interviews, admin etc.

How often is your counselling sessions?

Our sessions are held on a weekly basis, this is to ensure you and the counsellor can build a therapeutic relationship, enhancing your counselling experience. We offer 12 weekly sessions.

What happens if I need to cancel a session?

We ask to be notified of an cancellation 48 hours prior to your session, inside this 48 hours the session will be charged for. However, if you do not attend 2 sessions without a notice period, we will discharge you from our service.

Can I change my counsellor?

We understand at times, we may want to change our counsellor as we feel they might not be the right fit. That is ok, all you need to do is contact us and we will sort the rest out for you.

What if I want to end therapy early?

We do not contract you to the 12 sessions, therefore if you feel you want to end therapy or no longer need it, that is ok, just let your counsellor know and have an ending session.

Is there a waiting list?

We pride ourself in not having a waiting list, we aim to book in an assessment within 2 weeks and then match you with one of our team the following week.

If you feel counselling is for you, then get in contact for a chat and to book in your assessment.
