Counselling

Counselling and Psychotherapy are for everyone — people just like you and me. If you’re feeling lost, not quite yourself, or struggling without knowing exactly why, you’re not alone. You may be dealing with low self-confidence, work-related stress, relationship challenges, or finding it hard to move on after a breakup — whatever you're facing, counselling can offer support and clarity.

Our goal is to make counselling accessible and tailored to your needs. Thanks to our incredible volunteers, we’re able to offer affordable sessions at just £25. All our counsellors are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their Ethical Framework, ensuring safe, ethical, and professional practice at all times.

How does it work?

How can we offer affordable therapy?

As part of their journey to becoming qualified counsellors, trainees must complete over 100 hours of counselling practice. We support this important stage by working with trainee counsellors who are in the final phase of their training, carefully matching them with individuals seeking therapy. This is how we’re able to offer affordable counselling — your session fee directly supports the supervision costs required for the trainee’s ongoing development and ethical practice.

How do I know if I get the counsellor for me?

Before you commence therapy, a qualified counsellor, will complete an assessment with you, so we can match you with the right counsellor to best suit your needs.

Is it safe?

Our counsellors have been signed off fit to practice by their university or our training centre and have ongoing 1 to 1 supervision, to ensure they are working ethically and always putting you, the client, first.

How much is it?

£25 per session, this supports the supervision costs required for the trainee's ongoing development and ethical practice.

How often do I have to attend counselling sessions?

To begin with, we ask you to attend weekly sessions, this consistency enables the therapeutic relationship build between you and your counsellor, which enhances your counselling experience. We offer ongoing sessions.

What happens if I need to cancel a session?

We ask to be notified if you wish to cancel a session, 48 hours before your session, failure to let us know, then the session will be charged for. However, if you do not attend 2 sessions without a notice period, we will discharge you from our service.

Can I change my counsellor?

We understand at times, we may want to change our counsellor as we feel they might not be the right fit. That is ok, all you need to do is contact us and we will sort the rest out for you.

What if I want to end therapy early?

We do not contract you a number of sessions; therefore, if you feel you want to end therapy or no longer need it, that is ok, just let your counsellor know and have an ending session.

Is there a waiting list?

We pride ourselves in not having a waiting list, we aim to book in an assessment within 2 weeks and then match you with one of our team the following week.

If you feel counselling is for you, then get in contact for a chat and to book in your assessment.
